A city is only as cool as the people who live and work there.  On this assignment I visit with local business owners and tell their story and experiences via the City of St. Petersburg's social media campaign #burgbiz.

I'm a sucker for stories and having the opportunity to tell stories through my lens is my favorite thing in the world.

A new kid is in town.  The kid is progressive.  It gets around.  And it's a bike share program.  I was lucky enough to pair up with Coast Bike Share to capture photo content for their website, print collateral, and social media.

I spent a weekend at a reggae rock festival with a photo pass, and everything was irie. 

I grew up the son of a sports journalist.  I worked with ESPN and NASCAR for 12 years.  Sports are in my DNA and I feel right at home with a camera in my hand around athletes and competition. 

Since 2013 I've worked with the City of St. Petersburg.  Documenting the city I grew up in is rewarding every day. Here are some of my favorites.

Culture and art tend to go hand-in-hand.  The Shine Mural Festival in St. Petersburg, Florida is rich with both.  I love documenting this annual event.

I spent time on the road with the Professional Bull Riders shooting and producing video content.  Sometimes photography was part of assignment and I was always happy to oblige.

When not on assignment typically there's still a camera in my hand.  Documenting the things, places, and people I see is at the heart of my passion for photography.  This is a small batch of those moments.

Hashtag film is not dead. Since first learning about photography in high school with film and a darkroom, I've been obsessed.  Sometimes a moment in time, captured and rediscovered later, is the best thing in the world.

Great Explorations is a nationally renowned children's museum located in St. Petersburg, FL.  While updating their brand image and website they asked me to capture new portraits of their staff.  Boring standard portraits wouldn't do for the employees of a children's museum, so we decided to shake it up and bring out the staff's personality on this shoot.
